       most of my friends never

       met their fathers.

       i recall witnessing a man

fly from the top

of a housing building like

doves perish in movies,

       when one is forgiven

       a world will remain solid

with choices,  b – ballers

are earning before sun

down, narratives of broken homes.

streetlights become

constructs, shooting stars

plunge, boys in the back

beating tambourines

to smithereens, hell has

no fury on earth
